The DSF calls for Americans to stay, and the PYD threatens to resort to the Syrian regime
ARK News: The official of the DSF Mazloum Kobani called on the United States to keep 1000 to 1,500 soldiers from international forces to stay in Syria to help fight al Da’esh.
Kobani expressed his hope that the United States, in particular, will stop plans for a full withdrawal.
After talks with senior US generals at an air base in northeastern Syria, Mazloum Kobani called for permanent military assistance from the US-led international coalition.
"We would like to have air cover, air support and strength on the ground to coordinate with us," Kobani said.
He continued, "there are discussions about the possibility of French and British forces supporting them in Syria."
For his part, Aldar Khalil called on the European countries not to abandon them after the end of their battles against the organization of Da’esh and to contribute to the deployment of an international force in northern Syria to protect them from Turkish threats, in the light of Washington's proposal to establish a safe area.
Aldar Khalil, a leader of the PYD said in an interview with Agency (AFP )that “those countries have a political and moral obligation (...) If they have not met these obligations, they abandon us».
Khalil devoted his call to France, a permanent member of the UN Security Council, to work for the deployment of an international force in Syria immediately after the withdrawal of US troops from it.
Khalil warned European countries and the United States “If you do not do something, they will be obliged to an understanding with the Syrian regime to send military forces to the border in order to protect them”.
