The seventh anniversary of the martyrdom of the activist and doctor Sherzad Haj Rashid
ARK News: Saturday, 9 February 2019 marks the seventh anniversary of the martyrdom of the youth activist who opposed the Assad regime, Dr Sherzad Haj Rashid, who was assassinated in the Syrian province of Aleppo after being kidnapped by an armed group on 9/2/2012.
Dr Sherzad Haj Rashid, who comes from Afrin region of Kurdistan, the village of Alamdar, belonging to Rajo town, in the province of Aleppo martyred by an armed group and the mystery remains so far on the issue of Dr Sherzad Haji Rashid and the one who assassinated him, but according to activists that the regime and some other bodies are behind the assassination.
Dr Sherzad Haji Rashid has many humanitarian activities. He used to treat the wounded who were targeted by the regime and the “Shabiha” in Aleppo and its countryside free of charge especially in Anadan, Huretan and the areas that participated in anti-Syrian demonstrations.
Haj Rashid was a member of the Aria Committee in the Democratic Unity Party in Syria and one of the pillars of coordination participating in demonstrations against the Syrian regime in the province of Aleppo and at every demonstration he had a fingerprint and he was a graduate of Aleppo University Faculty of Medicine and was practising his profession as a doctor in Aleppo hospitals.
And in the presence of a large crowd, and with the participation of thousands of people in Afrin, Aleppo, his body was buried in his hometown in his village Alamdar in Rajo town.
