A delegation from the Kurdish National Council meets with the Ambassador of the Netherlands in Istanbul

ARK News: A delegation from the Kurdish National Council in Syria met on Thursday 7/2/2019 with Mr Gerard Stigst the Ambassador of the Netherlands and the Special Envoy of Syria in Istanbul.

The delegation of the Kurdish National Council included: Mohamed Ismail, a member of the presidency of the Kurdish National Council in Syria, Abdul Basset Hamo, deputy head of the coalition and Abdullah Kaddo a member of the political body of the coalition.

Where it was reviewed the reality of the Kurdish National Council and its importance and its role and vision on the current political developments in the region and the reality and suffering of the Kurdish people and Kurdish areas, as well as the participation of the Council in the overall political process in Syria according to the Geneva Convention.

The Ambassador on his part expressed his warm welcome to the delegation of the Council, and his excellency stressed on his broad commitment to the Council's orientation, its nature and composition, as well as his satisfaction with the orientations of the Council and its political vision and appreciate the fears of the Kurds from any scenario in the region without international and national consensus. He also stressed that he would convey the Council's vision to his government.
