ARK News: Syrian opposition member Qasim al-Khatib said that the Syrian opposition needs the Roj Peshmerga forces in Syrian territory so that they have the appropriate role in the management and protection of the region, pointing out that Syria is on the verge of a new phase, and they are looking for a safe environment to engage in a future electoral process under the auspices of the United Nations

A member of the Syrian negotiating body Qasim al-Khatib revealed to the ARk Media Foundation on Sunday evening that the Syrian opposition needs the Roj Peshmerga forces inside the Syrian territory to have the appropriate role in the management and protection of the region, indicating that the Roj Peshmerga forces are Syrian Kurdish forces who are dissident from the Syrian regime and as a result of injustice and oppression, they came to the Kurdistan region and today they are a military state organized and trained

Al-Khatib added that “we, as the opposition of Syria, need the Peshmerga forces to be inside Syrian territory so that they can take their rightful and effective role in Syrian territory”.

A member of the Syrian negotiating body Qasim al-Khatib added that Syria is on the verge of a new stage, coming to the formation of the Syrian Constitution and looking for a safe environment and areas free of the military and weapons, this safe environment will be in the future the basis for the transition in Syria.

Khatib pointed out saying: "We, as opposed to Syria, we must organize ourselves within our regions" in order to play our role among the Syrian people. This safe environment may be an opportunity for new alliances between the political parties and the opposition by forming a force on the ground that is running a future electoral process under the supervision of the United Nations.
