President Barzani receives the delegation of the negotiating body of the Syrian opposition

ARK News; President Masoud Barzani met on 2 February 2019 in Salahuddin, the delegation of the negotiating body of the Syrian opposition, which included Dr Nasr Hariri, head of the Commission, and members of the negotiating body of the Syrian opposition.

At the beginning of the meeting, the delegation expressed its thanks for the attitudes of President Barzani and his support for the Syrian people and his concern for their lives and their living conditions and their future during the years of war and during the deep crises that hit Syria. the delegation also stressed the role and status of President Barzani and his impact in addressing problems, calling his sovereignty to have an active role in the success of the current efforts in order to address the crisis in Syria, as well as in protecting the future of the Kurdish people there.

At the same meeting, they exchanged views on the positions of the major powers, the latest developments and political changes in Syria and the decision to withdraw US forces in that country. It was also stressed on coordination and cooperation with all parties in order to address the problems through dialogue and understanding.

In another part of the meeting, the role of Kurdish political parties was highlighted in Syria in dealing with problems and overcome crises.
