ARK News: Elham Ahmed, the co-president of the Democratic Council of Syria, the political arm of the Democratic Syria Forces (DSF) militants said that Turkey is better for us than the Assad’s regime.

Ahmed said in an interview with Bloomberg in Washington that was published on Saturday 26/1/2019, that to go to the regime is not comfortable for DSF and continued "but if are squeezed to choose between the Turkish militia attacking our areas, and reach an agreement with Bashar al-Assad, we will go to the regime."

Ahmed mentioned that the safe area being talked about, "will not be safe for the Kurds at all, but a swamp of terrorism." As she put it.

Ahmed revealed to the agency that DSF provided the Assad with the support of Russia, a roadmap of 11 points to re-integrate the Syrian Al-Jazeera region under the government of the regime, and said that "The new Syria must be decentralized, but we want the unity of Syria, we do not want separation.”

The official in DSF pointed out that she was in Washington to hear reassurances and explain her point of view. She confirmed that what I heard from the Americans suggests that the United States "has not set a deadline for withdrawal yet."

Sipan Hamo the commander of militants of the PYD said two days ago: Talks with the Assad’s regime on the future of northeastern Syria will begin in the coming days after a "positive" reaction from Damascus

The Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced the middle of this month that Turkey will establish a safe area in northern Syria, after discussing the subject with his American counterpart Tram.
