Jan 21 2019

ARK News: Brett McGurk, US President Donald Trump's special envoy to the international coalition to fight the terrorist organization of ISIS, in an article published two days ago, in The Washington Post, reasons for his resignation from the official task, explaining that Trump's decision to withdraw US troops from Syria came without consulting the partners in the international coalition, and without understanding the facts on the ground there, adding that Turkey's entry into what is known as the safe area, will accelerate the spread of chaos.

In the article, McGurk addressed the negative dimensions of the US president's decision, which he said, based on unrealistic perceptions, which Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan persuaded him to do.

McGurk said Trump made the decision abruptly the US partners in the international coalition were stunned and the leaders of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) were stunned by a state of denial in the hope that Trump would reverse his decision at the last minute.
