Trump Warns of Economic Consequences for Any Country Providing Iran with a “Lifeline”

ARK News.. US President Donald Trump has warned that any country providing Iran with an economic “lifeline” will face severe economic consequences, as Washington seeks to bring an end to a war it launched alongside Israel nearly six months ago.

In a message posted on social media on Wednesday evening, Trump threatened “economic warfare and isolation on an unprecedented scale,” without providing details of the measures.

Trump said that “any country that allows its financial institutions, businesses, airports, or government entities to provide any type of lifeline to Iran will itself face tremendous economic consequences.”

He also warned that activities including oil smuggling, financial swap arrangements, cash transfers, exchange houses, ship registries, and the use of front companies must end immediately.

The announcement marks a further escalation in Washington’s economic pressure campaign against Tehran, with Trump describing the measures as an unprecedented effort to isolate Iran and undermine its ability to finance its activities
