Kurdistan Counter-Terrorism Service: International Coalition Foiled Two Separate Drone Attacks on Erbil

ARK News.. The Kurdistan Region Counter-Terrorism Service (CTS) announced that International Coalition forces successfully thwarted two separate attacks involving explosive-laden drones targeting Erbil over the past 24 hours, with no casualties reported.
In an official statement, the CTS said the second wave of attacks occurred on Friday night (July 17, 2026), when Coalition air defense systems intercepted and destroyed five explosive drones over Erbil within just eight minutes, between 9:58 p.m. and 10:06 p.m. local time.
The Counter-Terrorism Service added that neither of the two attacks resulted in any human casualties.
