Trump Threatens, Iran Responds with Missiles and Drones
ARK News.. Iran launched missiles and drones at U.S. military sites in Kuwait and Bahrain early on Sunday, June 28, 2026, shortly after U.S. President Donald Trump threatened to eliminate Iran's leadership if it failed to comply with the temporary agreement aimed at ending the war.
Meanwhile, Israel said on Sunday that it had targeted militants from the Iran-backed Hezbollah group in southern Lebanon on Saturday, just one day after agreeing to the latest ceasefire agreement with Lebanon intended to calm the fighting, which Iran says must come to an end if the broader agreement is to remain in effect.
Earlier, the U.S. military said it had carried out a new strike on Iran hours after an oil tanker was attacked in the Strait of Hormuz, the world's most important maritime route for energy transportation, which Iran has effectively kept largely closed since the beginning of the conflict.
Trump wrote on social media: "There may come a time when we can no longer act rationally, and we will have to finish the job militarily after having started it with great success... If that happens, the Islamic Republic of Iran will cease to exist."
