Iran Strikes Targets Linked to U.S. Forces

Jun 27 2026

ARK News.. Iran's Foreign Ministry said that the U.S. strikes carried out against Iranian territory constitute a "flagrant violation" of the memorandum of understanding reached between the two countries aimed at ending the war in the Middle East.

In a statement issued on Saturday, June 27, 2026, the ministry said Iran "strongly condemns the airstrikes carried out by the U.S. military on the evening of Friday, June 26, 2026, against several locations along Iran's southern coast."

The ministry added that the strikes "constitute a flagrant violation of Article 2, Paragraph 4 of the United Nations Charter, as well as a clear breach of Paragraph 1 of the Memorandum of Understanding" reached with the United States in mid-June.

The Foreign Ministry statement said that Tehran had struck targets linked to U.S. forces in response to the American airstrikes on its southern coast, which it described as violations of both the UN Charter and the bilateral memorandum aimed at ending the conflict. The statement, however, did not specify the targets or their locations.
