Jun 19 2026

ARK News.. Switzerland has announced that talks between the United States and Iranian negotiators on an agreement aimed at ending the conflict in the Middle East will not take place on Friday, June 19, 2026.

In a statement, the Swiss Foreign Ministry said that the U.S. talks with Iranian negotiators regarding an agreement to end the conflict in the Middle East had been “postponed,” stressing that Switzerland remains ready to facilitate the negotiations while related preparatory work continues in Bürgenstock.

The statement came after U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance canceled his travel plans to Switzerland, adding further uncertainty to efforts aimed at securing a permanent ceasefire.

“The logistical aspects of these negotiations have never been easy or predictable,” a White House spokesperson said in a statement on Thursday evening.
