Trump Rejects Iranian Proposal and Orders Preparation for All Scenarios
ARK News.. According to a report by The New York Times, a U.S. official said that Donald Trump has rejected Tehran’s latest proposal aimed at settling the war that has been ongoing for the past two months.
The report states that a senior official familiar with White House meetings confirmed that President Trump dismissed the Iranian proposal, reaffirming Washington’s firm position that the nuclear file must be included as a core item from the very beginning of any negotiations.
According to the source, Trump’s rejection of the proposal has reduced hopes for ending the conflict, which has already triggered a global energy crisis and rising inflation rates.
The source also noted that Trump has instructed his administration to prepare for all possible scenarios, including the potential resumption of war against Iran.
The Iranian proposal, delivered by Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi during his recent diplomatic tour, reportedly called for postponing discussion of the nuclear program to a later stage, while first focusing on ending military operations and resolving maritime shipping disputes in the Gulf, particularly around the Strait of Hormuz.
This remains a major sticking point, as Washington insists that nuclear issues must be addressed at the outset of any settlement.
