KNC Congratulates Yezidis on the Occasion of the Ezi Feast Day
ARK News.. The General Secretariat of the Kurdish National Council in Syria has issued a statement congratulating Yezidi Kurds on the occasion of the Ezi Feast Day.
Text of the congratulatory statement by the Kurdish National Council in Syria:
On 19.12.2025, on the occasion of the Ezi Fast “Cejna Rojiyên Êzî”, the Kurdish National Council in Syria extends its warmest congratulations to our Yezidi Kurdish people in Syria and around the world, wishing them a blessed feast and an acceptable fast.
This blessed occasion comes amid the continued suffering of the Syrian people in general, and the Yezidis in Syria and Iraq in particular, as the repercussions of conflict, terrorism, and forced displacement still exist, at a time when thousands of displaced persons continue to endure harsh humanitarian conditions that violate the principles of human rights and international humanitarian law.
The Kurdish National Council affirms that the escalating threat of terrorism and violent extremism worldwide, and in the Middle East and Syria in particular, poses a serious threat to peace and stability and undermines the foundations of coexistence.
The Council condemns all forms of terrorism, violence, hate speech, and incitement, stressing the need to replace them with a culture of tolerance, dialogue, and mutual respect, in line with international human rights conventions.
On this occasion, the Kurdish National Council renews its solidarity with our Yazidi Kurdish people and affirms their right to justice and fairness, the accountability of those responsible for crimes committed against them, and the dignified and safe return of displaced persons to their homes, with full guarantees of their legitimate national and religious rights.
In conclusion, the Kurdish National Council wishes the Yezidi Kurdish people an accepted fast and a blessed feast, hoping that the future will bring peace and stability to Syria and the region.
