Kurdistan Region President Receives Jordan’s New Consul General
ARK News.. Kurdistan Region President Nechirvan Barzani received the newly appointed Consul General of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in the Kurdistan Region, Ziad al-Batariseh, on Monday morning, 24 November 2025.
During the meeting, President Barzani congratulated the Jordanian diplomat on assuming his new post, wishing him success and expressing full support for the mission he will undertake in the Region.
Another part of the meeting highlighted the historic ties between the Kurdistan Region and the Kingdom of Jordan. Both sides affirmed their shared willingness to further strengthen and expand avenues of mutual cooperation across various sectors.
The discussions also touched on the Iraqi parliamentary elections and the broader political situation in Iraq.
