Masrour Barzani Receives Finland’s New Ambassador to Iraq
ARK News.. Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani on Sunday received Antti Putkonen, the newly appointed Ambassador of Finland to Iraq.
At the outset of the meeting, Prime Minister Barzani congratulated Ambassador Putkonen on assuming his new post and wished him success, expressing the Kurdistan Regional Government’s readiness to provide all necessary support to ensure the success of his diplomatic mission.
For his part, Ambassador Putkonen reaffirmed Finland’s commitment to strengthening relations with the Kurdistan Region across various fields.
The two sides also discussed the KRG’s ongoing reform initiatives, the general situation in Iraq, and preparations underway for the upcoming federal parliamentary elections.
