ARK News.. Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani received Elbrus Kutrashev, the Russian Ambassador to Iraq, on Monday, October 27, 2025.

The meeting, attended by Maxim Rubin, the Russian Consul General in the Kurdistan Region, focused on ways to strengthen bilateral relations and addressed the latest political and security developments in Iraq and the wider region.

Both sides also exchanged views on the upcoming Iraqi parliamentary elections and issues of mutual concern.
