The 8th Anniversary of the Martyrdom of Peshmerga Roj Peshmerga Fighters

ARK News.. On Sunday, October 26, 2025, marked the 8th anniversary of the martyrdom of eight Peshmerga fighters from Roj Peshmerga Forces who fell in battle on the Zummar and Ain Awes fronts while confronting the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF).
Together with their fellow Peshmerga, they fought valiantly, displaying extraordinary courage, thwarting hostile plans against Kurdistan, and defending the achievements of the Kurdish people.
The martyrs are:
1. Nawwaf Rasool – from Derik – martyred on the Zummar front
2. Jamal Mustafa Ahmad – from Girke Lage – martyred on the Zummar front
3. Mahdi Suleiman Omar – from Derik – martyred on the Zummar front
4. Rodi Saleh Ibrahim – from Dirbasiye – martyred on the Ain Awes front
5. Abdul Hannan Hannan – from Afrin – martyred on the Ain Awes front
6. Aldar Hawwas Nader – from Amouda – martyred on the Ain Awes front
7. Evan Mohammed Amin – from Chi Agha – martyred on the Ain Awes front
8. Kalhat Haji Sheikhi – from Derik – martyred on the Ain Awes front
The Roj Peshmerga Forces were established in 2012 by a decision of President Masoud Barzani. Since then, they have fought fierce battles against the world’s most brutal terrorist organization, ISIS, demonstrating exceptional combat skill, discipline, and unwavering determination.
Since their founding, the forces have made significant sacrifices, offering dozens of martyrs and wounded in defense of Kurdistan and its people.
