ARK News.. Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani affirmed on Sunday, October 19, 2025, that “nothing is impossible when there is strong will and loyalty to the homeland.”
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony of the strategic Komsapan–Samaqoli dual road, Prime Minister Barzani said: “A year after we promised to complete this project, we are here today to say that we have fulfilled another promise. Despite all the crises and challenges created for the Kurdistan Region, and despite the economic difficulties and obstacles to our development, we stand before the people of Kurdistan and the world to say that with sincere determination and national will, nothing is impossible.”
He emphasized that this achievement was the result of hard work and dedication by the people of Kurdistan, expressing his hope that the project will serve all citizens of the Region and visitors coming for tourism.
Barzani explained that the two-lane road is part of a larger project that will begin in Erbil and connect the Erbil and Sulaymaniyah provinces with the independent Raparin administration, easing traffic flow across the area.
He urged citizens to follow traffic regulations, adding: “Kurdistan is a beautiful land, and these projects make it even more beautiful—but we must preserve its cleanliness and beauty.”
The Prime Minister noted that the new infrastructure will help reduce traffic congestion and accidents, highlighting that the ongoing “revolution in road and bridge construction” across Kurdistan has already led to a noticeable decline in road incidents.
Barzani also stressed the importance of protecting the environment, saying: “Kurdistan is our common home; we must all take responsibility for keeping it clean and green.”
He instructed relevant authorities to take firm action against anyone who harms or disrespects the environment.
