Kurdistan Exports Over 200,000 Barrels of Oil Daily

ARK News.. Oil exports from the Kurdistan Region to Turkey’s Ceyhan port have reached approximately 205,000 barrels per day, with a total of four million barrels marketed so far.

According to Kurdish media sources, oil fields in the Kurdistan Region currently export between 200,000 and 205,000 barrels of crude oil daily through the export pipeline to Ceyhan.

The marketing process is carried out by Iraq’s SOMO company, in coordination with a representative from the Kurdistan Regional Government’s Ministry of Natural Resources.

Since the resumption of oil exports from the Kurdistan Region to Ceyhan, around four million barrels have been marketed through the port, with the revenues transferred directly to the federal government.

However, the sources noted that despite the tripartite agreement between the involved parties, the federal government has yet to fully implement its commitments, as it has not paid the dues owed to the oil-producing companies.

Negotiations between the Kurdistan Regional Ministry of Natural Resources and the Iraqi Ministry of Oil are expected to resume after the upcoming Iraqi parliamentary elections (sixth term) to reach a lasting resolution to the ongoing dispute.
