Suwayda: Protesters Chant Anti-Transitional Government Slogans
ARK News.. Hundreds of residents from the cities of Suwayda and Shahba took to the streets in a large demonstration under the slogan “Suwayda Belongs to Its People”, expressing their rejection of the Syrian transitional government and reaffirming their commitment to ongoing popular protests in the province.
Protesters raised banners demanding the release of abductees and the disclosure of their fate, while chanting slogans against the current authorities, including:
“Al-Jolani, liar, commander of the terrorist army!”,
“Suwayda is free, Al-Jolani get out!”, and
“By right, by faith, we want the kidnapped back!”
The demonstration reflected the persistence of local demands for civil and social rights that safeguard the dignity of the province’s inhabitants.
This protest is part of the ongoing peaceful movement in Suwayda, which has witnessed months of escalating public mobilization calling for greater autonomy and self-determination.
