Kurdistan Region Presidency Expresses Gratitude to President Erdoğan for Lifting Ban on Sulaymaniyah Airport

ARK News.. The Presidency of the Kurdistan Region has expressed its gratitude to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan for his decision to lift the flight ban on Sulaymaniyah International Airport.

Below is the full text of the statement:

We express our sincere thanks and appreciation to His Excellency Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, President of the Republic of Turkey, who, during his meeting today with Mr. Nechirvan Barzani, President of the Kurdistan Region, ordered the resumption of Turkish Airlines flights to Sulaymaniyah and the reopening of Turkish airspace.

This decision comes within the framework of the strong and longstanding relations between the Kurdistan Region and the Republic of Turkey. We are confident that it will further strengthen cooperation and serve the interests of both sides—particularly the citizens of the Sulaymaniyah area.
