KDP-S Delegation Meets with KDP Central Relations Office in Erbil

A delegation from the leadership of the Kurdistan Democratic Party – Syria (KDP-S) held a meeting today, Tuesday, September 23, 2025, with the Central Relations Office of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) in the Kurdistan Region’s capital, Erbil.

The meeting was hosted by Ali Awni, a member of the KDP’s Central Committee, along with cadres from the Kurdish and Arab Relations Department.

The KDP-S delegation included Dr. Abdul Hakim Bashar and Saeed Omar, both members of the Political Bureau, as well as Central Committee members Sarhan Hassan, Mohammed Shirin, and Hanan Sido.

Discussions focused on the latest political developments in Syria, particularly issues related to the Kurdish question and the challenges facing the Kurdish people in the country.

The two sides also explored mechanisms to enhance cooperation between the KDP and KDP-S in order to serve their shared causes and strengthen political coordination at this critical stage.

Both parties underscored the importance of holding such meetings regularly to facilitate the exchange of views and harmonize positions on key political issues — both concerning the Kurdish question and the broader situation in Syria.
