Aleppo: Syrian Democratic Forces Abduct Three Minors from Ashrafiya and Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood
ARK News.. Continuing its policy of intimidating children and forcibly recruiting them into military camps, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) have abducted three minors from the city of Aleppo.
Media activist Mustafa Sheikho told ARK News today that militants from the SDF-affiliated Revolutionary Youth Movement abducted the minors on August 23, 2025, from Aleppo’s Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafiya districts, intending to take them to SDF recruitment centers.
The abducted minors are:
Bashar Sheikh Hamo (14), from the village of Qara Tappa, Shara town, Afrin countryside.
Rebar Wahid Ali, from the city of Afrin.
Saloum Adnan Tam (13), from the village of Hekiche, Jinderes town, Afrin.
Despite SDF commander Mazloum Kobani signing an action plan with Virginia Gamba, UN Special Representative for Children and Armed Conflict, to end and prevent the recruitment of children under 18, the forced involvement of minors in military operations continues.
