Donald Trump: Iran Has Not Agreed to Nuclear Site Inspections
ARK News.. U.S. President Donald Trump said Iran has not agreed to allow inspections of its nuclear sites or to halt uranium enrichment, according to remarks reported by Reuters.
Speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One, Trump claimed Iran’s nuclear program had suffered a “permanent setback” following U.S. strikes, although he acknowledged Tehran might try to restart it elsewhere.
He added that he would discuss Iran during his meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, scheduled for Monday at the White House.
“I will not allow Iran to resume its nuclear program,” Trump declared, asserting that Iran nonetheless wishes to hold a meeting with him.
Meanwhile, Iran’s state television reported that Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ismail Baqaei denied any negotiations with the United States, saying public anger in Iran is so intense that “no one even dares to talk about negotiations or diplomacy” at this time.
