
Mass Grave Discovered in Northern Homs Countryside
ARK News.. Syrian media sources have reported the discovery of a mass grave in the northern countryside of Homs, containing the remains of victims of a massacre allegedly committed by the former regime’s forces during the early years of the Syrian uprising.
According to Syrian TV, the grave was uncovered in the village of Khirbet al-Souda, northwest of Homs city. It contains the remains of 11 individuals from the village who were reportedly killed by the ousted regime’s forces in 2013.
Mustafa Ahmad, the internal security chief in the Talbisa region, stated that security forces received a tip several days ago about the grave's location. The victims include multiple children, their father, and relatives.
Ahmad confirmed that one suspect has been arrested in connection with the massacre and emphasized that ongoing investigations aim to bring all perpetrators to justice.
