Tom Barrack: IRGC Massacres in Syria Left Deep Scars on Humanity’s Conscience
ARK News.. U.S. Special Envoy to Syria Tom Barrack has condemned the atrocities committed by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in Syria, describing them as having left “deep scars on the conscience of humanity.”
In a post published Saturday, June 14, on the social platform X, Barrack wrote:
“The IRGC’s brutal killings in Syria leave a scar on the forehead of humanity.”
The envoy called on Iranian leadership to heed President Trump’s plea:
“Strike a deal to end the massacres—it may offer a glimmer of hope. Diplomacy is the last chance to rein in their tyranny and save the Iranian people before more blood is shed.”
Trump, speaking Friday after the launch of Israeli airstrikes on Iran, said he had given Tehran 60 days to reach an agreement.
“Today marks Day 61,” Trump declared, highlighting that Iran had rejected U.S. demands to abandon uranium enrichment.
The escalating rhetoric comes amid renewed diplomatic tensions and violent confrontations in the region.
