U.S. Central Command Announces Killing of ISIS Official Based in Syria
ARK News.. The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced the killing of a senior ISIS leader following a precision airstrike carried out by its forces in northwestern Syria.
In a statement, CENTCOM said: “On June 10, U.S. Central Command forces conducted a precision airstrike in northwest Syria that resulted in the death of Rahim Buyev, an ISIS official based in Syria who was involved in planning external operations threatening U.S. citizens, our partners, and civilians.”
CENTCOM added: “This airstrike is part of the U.S. Central Command’s ongoing commitment, alongside our regional partners, to disrupt and thwart terrorist efforts to plan, organize, and execute attacks against U.S. forces and our allies.”
