Syrian President Grants Holiday Bonus to State Employees and Pensioners
ARK News.. On the occasion of Eid al-Adah, Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa issued a decree on Sunday, June 1, 2025, approving the disbursement of a financial grant to state employees and retirees.
Decree No. 68 of 2025 stipulates a one-time bonus of 500,000 Syrian pounds for all civilian and military employees of the state, in celebration of the holiday.
Retired civilian and military personnel will receive a lump sum of 300,000 Syrian pounds, according to the same decree.
The bonus applies to permanent and temporary staff, including daily wage workers, and is exempt from taxes and deductions.
The decree assigned the Minister of Finance with implementing its provisions, which take effect immediately upon issuance.
