Syria Receives 25,000 Doses of Meningitis Vaccine for Pilgrims from Saudi Arabia

ARK News.. The Syrian Ministry of Health announced on Sunday that it has received 25,000 doses of the quadrivalent meningitis vaccine designated for Syrian pilgrims. The vaccines were provided by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center and delivered via the Nasib border crossing.

According to Syria’s state news agency (SANA), Dr. Zuhair Qarout, Director of Planning and International Cooperation at the Ministry of Health, stated that the delivery reflects a spirit of humanitarianism and brotherhood between Syria and Saudi Arabia. He emphasized the Ministry’s full commitment to providing essential services and care for pilgrims, ensuring that vaccines are distributed efficiently and in accordance with health standards. Dr. Qarout also expressed gratitude to the King Salman Center and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for their ongoing support.

Meanwhile, Yamen Mualem, Deputy Director of the Ministry’s Supply Department, highlighted the importance of this initiative in strengthening health cooperation through the exchange of expertise, medicines, and vaccines.
