Mohammad Ismail Highlights Formation of Joint Kurdish Delegation for Negotiations with Damascus

ARK News.. The head of the Kurdish National Council (KNC) in Syria, Mohammad Ismail, has emphasized the formation of a joint Kurdish delegation tasked with negotiating with Damascus over the national rights of the Kurdish people in Syria, based on a unified Kurdish vision.

On Friday, May 9, 2025, the Qamishlo "Central" Organization of the Kurdistan Democratic Party – Syria (PDK-S) held a political seminar at the party’s eastern Qamishlo office, delivered by Mohammad Ismail, the party’s secretary and head of the KNC in Syria.

The event was attended by a prominent group of political, cultural, and social figures, along with writers and representatives of youth and women's unions. During the seminar, Ismail discussed the outcomes of the Kurdish Unity and Position Conference held on April 26, 2025, and the collective vision that emerged from it.

He also addressed the formation of the joint Kurdish delegation to engage with the Syrian government on securing Kurdish national rights, in alignment with the shared Kurdish framework.

Ismail further shed light on the latest political developments on the Syrian scene more broadly.
