Under the Patronage of Prime Minister Masrour Barzani: The First International Academic Conference on the Yazidi Community Launched in Kurdistan Region
ARK News.. Under the patronage of Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Prime Minister Masrour Barzani, the First International Academic Conference on the Yazidi Community has officially commenced in the Kurdistan Region. The conference will span two days.
Centered around the themes of religion, heritage, history, and geography of the Yazidi community, the conference is organized by the Lalish Cultural and Social Center in cooperation with the University of Duhok. It is being held at the University of Duhok's Conference Center from April 29 to 30, 2025.
This is the first international scientific conference dedicated to the Yazidis, featuring the presentation and discussion of dozens of academic research papers on Yazidi religion and heritage. Researchers and scholars from 11 different countries are participating in this significant event.
