President Barzani: The Feyli Kurds Played a Vital Role in the Kurdish Liberation Movement
ARK News.. On the 45th anniversary of the genocide against the Feyli Kurds, President Masoud Barzani issued a statement highlighting their significant role in the Kurdish liberation movement and the national cause of the Kurdish people.
In a post on the social media platform "X" on Friday, April 4, 2025, President Barzani stated:
"On the 45th anniversary of the genocide against the Feyli Kurds, we pay tribute to the souls of the Feyli Kurdish martyrs and all those who have sacrificed their lives for the freedom of Kurdistan."
He further emphasized:
"Our Feyli brothers and sisters played a crucial role in the Kurdish liberation movement and in advancing our national cause. The genocide against the Feyli Kurds was part of the former Iraqi regime’s systematic plan to eradicate the Kurdish people."
