Iraq to Extend Official Invitation to Ahmad al-Shar'i for Arab Summit

ARK News.. Iraqi Foreign Minister announced that an official invitation will be sent to Ahmad al-Shar’i, the Interim President of Syria, to attend the Arab Summit in Baghdad next May.

On Friday, February 14, 2025, Iraqi Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein stated that Iraq will invite Arab leaders to participate in the upcoming Arab Summit in Baghdad, including Ahmad Al-Sharaa, the Interim President of Syria.

Fouad Hussein emphasized that “Iraq has no reservations about engaging with the new Syrian leadership.”
