President Barzani Discusses Situation of Syrian Kurds with Stephen Hitchin
ARK News.. President Masoud Barzani met with the British Ambassador to Iraq, Stephen Hitchin, on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at his residence in Salahuddin.
During the meeting, they discussed political and security developments in the region, including the situation of the Kurdish population in Syria and the challenges threatening regional stability.
The two sides also exchanged views on the steps toward forming the next government in the Kurdistan Region and the ongoing disputes between the Iraqi federal government and the Kurdistan Regional Government.
It is noteworthy that this visit by Ambassador Hitchin was of a farewell nature, marking the conclusion of his diplomatic mission in Iraq. President Barzani extended his best wishes to the ambassador for success in his future endeavors.
