Kurdistan Region Representation of the Kurdish National Council Meets with Director General of Kurdistan's Ministry of Interior
ARK News.. The Kurdistan Region Representation of the Kurdish National Council (KNC) in Syria has called on the Ministry of Interior of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) to ease the obstacles faced by Syrian refugees in general, and Kurds in particular.
On Tuesday, February 11, 2025, a delegation from the Relations Committee of the Kurdistan Region Representation of the KNC, headed by Jad'an Ali, met with Dr. Hemin Mirani, the Director General of the Ministry of Interior's Office in the KRG.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed the political situation in general and the Kurdish issue in particular, especially in Syria following the fall of the Assad regime. The delegation urged the KRG to ease difficulties faced by Syrian refugees, particularly Kurds, including the issue of visa restrictions on Syrian passports.
In response, Dr. Hemin Mirani pledged to resolve this matter soon, along with other concerns such as general residency permits, permits for patients with liver disease, and delays in marriage approvals.
