Masrour Barzani Emphasizes Respect for Kurdish and Syrian Communities' Rights

Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani and the Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Jassim Mohamed Al-Budaiwi, discussed the latest developments in Syria, agreeing on the necessity of safeguarding its security and stability while underscoring the importance of respecting the rights of the Kurdish people and all other Syrian communities.
The meeting took place on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, on the sidelines of the World Government Summit in Dubai, where Barzani and Al-Budaiwi explored ways to strengthen and deepen relations between the Kurdistan Region and GCC member states. They highlighted the importance of fostering mutual interests and contributing to growth and prosperity across the region.
During their discussions, both leaders reiterated their commitment to supporting Syria's security and stability, emphasizing the need to respect the rights of the Kurdish population and all Syrian communities.
