
U.S. Officials Commend President Barzani’s Efforts in Bridging Kurdish Divisions
ARK News.. Hemin Hawrami, a member of the Political Bureau of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP), held a meeting with senior U.S. State Department officials, including Tom Rosenberger, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Syria and the region, and Scott Poultz, the U.S. Special Envoy for Northeast Syria.
During the meeting, Hawrami highlighted President Masoud Barzani’s efforts in promoting stability and fostering unity among Kurdish parties, emphasizing the Kurdistan Region’s crucial role in the evolving situation in Syria.
In response, U.S. officials praised President Barzani’s initiatives in facilitating dialogue between Kurdish factions, viewing his continued efforts as a key factor in ensuring regional stability.
Following the meeting, Hawrami stated, "We had in-depth discussions with senior U.S. State Department officials regarding Syria’s transitional phase, the security situation, and its regional implications, in addition to enhancing coordination between the Kurdistan Region and the United States for the sake of regional stability."
