ARK News.. The Police Academy in the Qaboun district of Damascus held a graduation ceremony for a new class of police and public security recruits. The batch consists of 1,000 officers who will be deployed across several provinces to help maintain security.

According to Syria’s state-run news agency SANA, this marks the 24th graduating class under an accelerated program to bolster security forces. New classes graduate every 10 days, with each batch comprising between 400 and 700 officers.

So far, approximately 17,000 officers have completed their training and have been assigned to both the police force and public security units, according to sources within Syria’s new political administration.

The latest graduates have undergone basic training in law enforcement and public order. Police Academy officials confirmed that they will later receive advanced field training to equip them for operational duties.

The rapid pace of police graduations reflects the urgent need to strengthen security, particularly in major cities and the capital, Damascus. The initiative aims to enhance public safety, regulate traffic, and prevent crimes that could threaten civil peace.
