ARK News.. The United Nations has condemned the bombing that struck the city of Manbij, east of Aleppo, resulting in multiple casualties, most of whom were women. The organization reaffirmed the critical need to protect civilians and infrastructure.

UN spokesperson Stéphane Dujarric stated that a car bomb exploded near a vehicle transporting women on their way to seasonal agricultural work. He also noted that another car bomb attack had taken place in the same city over the past weekend, causing deaths and injuries, including children.

Dujarric stressed that all parties must uphold their obligations under international humanitarian law to protect civilians, emphasizing that “civilians and civilian infrastructure must never be targeted.”

The bombing claimed at least 20 lives and left several others wounded, marking one of the deadliest attacks since the ousting of the former president.
