Faisal Yousef Reveals Details of U.S. Delegation Meeting with the Presidency of the KNC

ARK News.. Faisal Yousef, spokesperson for the Kurdish National Council in Syria (KNC), disclosed the details of a meeting between a U.S. delegation and the KNC leadership in Qamishlo. The discussion centered on Kurdish participation in upcoming negotiations in Damascus.

Yousef told ARK News: "The U.S. delegation met with the KNC leadership, on Sunday, January 5, 2025, in Qamishlo, Syrian Kurdistan, to discuss pathways for Kurdish involvement in the Damascus talks."

He added that the meeting addressed developments in Syria, emphasizing the need for Kurdish unity during this critical period. They also explored the formation of a unified Kurdish delegation to represent their interests in Damascus negotiations.

Yousef noted that both sides stressed the importance of continuing discussions and exchanging views on the topics covered in the meeting.

This follows a previous meeting on Monday, December 23, 2024, when the KNC leadership met with General Mazloum Abdi, commander of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), in the presence of representatives from the International Coalition.
