ARK News: the journalist writer, Siyamand Ibrahim died on Saturday, 15 12. 2018, in a hospital in the German city of Cologne, after a long journey of life in the service of the Kurdish culture and literature.

Siyamand Ibrahim Born in Ashore Banani village of Amouda on 12-3-1953, he founded the Kurdish Journal of Aso in 1993 and headed its editorial, and he also founded the first Kurdish library in Qamishlo city.

Siyamand Ibrahim was prosecuted by the Syrian Security Services, as he was arrested twice, most recently it was in 2011, because of his bold and courageous articles against the tyranny of the Syrian regime, He wrote thousands of articles, many of which disappeared, and he was one of the most important sources of demonstrations during the Syrian revolution, and was therefore threatened, forcing him to travel.
