U.S. Patrol Sets Up Temporary Facility in Kobani
ARK New.. A Syrian human rights source revealed that a military patrol consisting of several vehicles affiliated with the U.S.-led International Coalition arrived in the city of Kobani in Syrian Kurdistan.
According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, the U.S. military patrol reached Kobani on Tuesday, December 24, 2024. The patrol’s personnel established a temporary structure to oversee negotiations and mediate between Turkish forces and their allied factions on one side, and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) on the other, aiming to de-escalate tensions and prevent destruction in the area.
Regarding the situation in Kobani, the International Coalition stated that negotiations are still underway and have recently achieved significant progress, though no additional details about the discussions were disclosed.
