Hama: Syrian regime retreats, armed factions take control
ARK News.. The Syrian regime has withdrawn from Hama city after fierce battles with factions participating in the "Deterring Aggression" operation, which resulted in significant losses for the regime in terms of both personnel and equipment.
The Syrian regime's Defense Ministry announced in an official statement on Thursday, December 5, 2024, that its military units had "repositioned and redeployed outside Hama city."
The statement added that regime forces would continue their national duty to retake the areas that have fallen under the control of armed factions.
The Military Operations Directorate said that its forces entered Hama and took control of several neighborhoods in the eastern side of the city, including prominent areas such as Al-Arba'een and Al-Sawa’eq, amid fierce clashes with regime forces.
