ARK News: The special American envoy to Syrian, James Jeffry discussed in Jordan on Monday the latest development of the Syrian issue and the aimed efforts to finding a political solution for it.

This came during a meeting in the capital Amman, which included Jeffrey, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State, Gul Reborn, and Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi, Safadi and US officials also discussed the issue of Syrian refugees, according to a statement of the Jordanian Foreign Ministry. During the meeting, they stressed the importance of the international community's continued responsibility for refugees.

Amman says that hosting more than 1.3 million Syrian refugees in Jordan represents a major burden on all sectors and government services and calls for adequate support to bear the burden of refugees.

The participants also discussed the subject of the Rukban Gathering for Syrian IDPs, located inside Syria, in the restricted area between Jordan and its northern neighbor, where Amman says that the only solution to the problem of residents of this gathering is to secure a safe return to their cities and their towns.

The two sides stressed the keenness of Washington and Amman to continue to strengthen bilateral relations and develop cooperation and coordination, according to the Jordanian statement.
