US threatens Turkey if the latter buys the Russian missile defence system (S400).
ARK News: A US military official said on Thursday that Washington would not go ahead with a sale of Patriot missiles to Turkey if it purchased the advanced Russian missile defence system (S400).
The channel (Russia Today) mentioned that the US official, who declined to be identified in view of the need to obtain approval in this regard from Congress confirmed that the United States is concerned that Ankara's purchase of the Russian S-400 missile defence system would harm Turkey's participation in the advanced F-35 fighter jet program.
Turkish Foreign Minister "Mouloud Gawish Oglu" has recently confirmed that his country will not conclude a deal to buy the US missile system (Patriot) if Washington's insistence to link this deal not to buy Russian missiles (S 400).
