ARK News.. The Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs denied reports about the upcoming meeting between the Turkish President, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and the head of the Syrian regime, Bashar al-Assad, in the Russian capital, Moscow, during next August.

Anka News Agency, quoting a senior official in the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said that the reports that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will meet with Bashar al-Assad, head of the Syrian regime, in Moscow do not reflect the truth and are incorrect.

For its part, the Turkish NTV channel confirmed, citing a diplomatic source, that reports about the planned meeting of Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Bashar al-Assad in Moscow do not correspond to reality.

The Turkish newspaper "Daily Sabah" reported yesterday, Monday, July 22, 2024, that a meeting will soon bring together the Turkish President with the President of the Syrian regime, in Moscow next August, and that the Russian President, Vladimir Putin, will mediate the talks between them.
