ARK News: During last two days al-Amshat militias launched a campaign of raids and searches of houses in Qarmitlq village belonging to Shiye town of Afrin Kurdistan under the false pretext that the people of the village work in smuggling and prevent civilians from harvesting their olive crop.

A special source from the village of Qarmitlq reported to the ARK Media Foundation that the militias belonging to Abu Amsha launched during the past two days a fierce and violent campaign launched against unarmed Kurdish civilians in Qarmitlq village of Shiye town under pretexts that they work with smuggling.

The same source said that armed militias prevented the Kurdish owners of olive fields to harvest their crops in order to extort and impose more taxes on them, noting that half of the crop is not harvested so far.

The source also said that the militias gave orders to all the Arab olive workers in the village within 24 hours to leave the village by force who came to the village only for harvesting olive and not as the settlers, noting that 200 displaced families from outside Afrin had settled the mentioned village after the occupation of Afrin region.

It is noteworthy that the pro-Turkish army factions, which participated in the occupation of the city of Afrin, committed dozens of crimes against the people of the city and its countryside, killing, kidnapping and torture, along with looting and theft, burning agricultural crops and forests, the seizure of property of citizens, and the destruction of monuments and religious.
