Afrin... Clashes between gunmen and there are casualties
ARK News… Clashes took place between gunmen belonging to the National Army in Afrin city center in Syrian Kurdistan, on Saturday, June 15, 2024.
Activist Mustafa Sheikho said in special statement to ARK: Gunmen from the “Qalamoun Group” and gunmen who are from the village of Anjara (Aleppo countryside) clashed with weapons in the Ashrafiya neighborhood in Afrin city.
He added that gunmen were injured as a result of the clashes, in addition to creating a state of chaos and panic among civilians, especially since the street was crowded with people in conjunction with their preparations to welcome Eid.
He confirmed that the Qalamoun group's Gunmen burned the houses inhabited by the other group's gunmen, which belonged to Kurdish civilians.
On the night of Monday, June 3, violent clashes with machine guns and heavy weapons broke out in the city, between gunmen of the Joint Force and the Liberation and Construction Movement of the National Army.
As a result of the clashes, the "Amanos" Hospital was evacuated of medical staff and patients, and some projectiles fell between the residential neighborhoods on the "al-Malahi Park" and "Mazot" street in Afrin city, and fire broke out in a building amid reports of civilian casualties.
