France announces the supply of "Mirage 2000-5" fighters to Ukraine
ARK News… The French President announced that his country would transfer Mirage 2000-5 fighter planes to Ukraine in order to defend itself against Russia without specifying the number of planes.
In a television interview in Caen city in northern France, French President Emmanuel Macron, on Thursday, June 6, 2024, said that an alliance is being formed with partners to supply Ukraine with Mirage 2000-5 fighters so that it can defend itself against Russia.
Macron continued: “We are working with all partners and we will make the decision on a collective basis at this time as an alliance.”
Macron added that he will offer to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky when they meet at his official residence in the Elysee Palace on Friday afternoon that Ukrainian pilots be trained starting this summer.
The French President revealed plans to train a battalion of 4,500 Ukrainian soldiers, and the training will not take place in the combat zone.
